Great moon buffet fairfield ca

I think the original restaurant in this location was actually The Great Wall which was also a buffet style restaurant and so I suspect either the ownership changed or the name was just changed. Very uncomfortable and not very professional. Overall, I'm still disappointed in this restaurant. Have eaten here several times and my opinion has not changed about this place. Food temp -- if you catch the tray as it comes out of the kitchen it will be hot -- but if the tray has been sitting there, the food is getting cold - suggest waiting until they replace the tray before taking. They serve Pepsi products for soft drinks.

  1. Egg Flower soup looked good, but after getting a bowl, the broth was very oily. They had some glass noodles and I added some of that to the broth and also added the red chili sauce in a bottle to spice it up. The ceilings have nothing acoustical to cut down noise, so between the dishes being tossed about, people's conversations were loud -- almost needed to wear ear plugs in this place.

A customer sitting at another table had piled on some stuff that look like it was deep fat fried -- either she wasn't feeling good, wasn't all that hungry or the food wasn't good -- she left the whole plate as it did look like it was dry, so be sure and only take one to sample so that food isn't wasted for those who really love dried out deep fat fried food!

  5. Now to the food - we were there on a Friday night, most likely because a Catholic doesn't necessarily eat meat, the majority of the dishes were fish -- shrimp of different varieties and fixed several ways, some sort of a fish with its head still on,snow crab that was dry and barely had any meat in the legs plus on one when I pulled off the big claw, a bunch of water came pouring out of the bottom of the leg. For the dinner menu they offer an hibatchi grill - but didn't see anybody partaking -- perhaps we were a bit early for the actual service.
